Elderly people with unusually sharp memory provide insight into what happens to people suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.


Researchers studying Alzheimer’s
disease usually focus their attention on people who suffer from the ravages of the disease, but scientists at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine thought they should turn their attention toward so-called “super aged people,” those of advanced age who demonstrated the mental acuity of people much younger, to see if they could unlock any clues about the aging brain.
